DESCRIPTION
This 1.4 mile paved trail was the first completed section of the Coastal Trails Network.
The Riverwalk connects downtown Amesbury with the Carriagetown Marketplace on Route 110. The trail features historic mill buildings, easy access to museums and galleries, and a pastoral walk along the Powow River.

ACCESS
The Riverwalk can be accessed from Heritage Park on Water St, from the Carriagetown Marketplace, a right of way near the intersection of Oakland and Marston St., the Residences at Riverwalk apartments. at Rocky Hill Rd. the the southern end of the Carriagetown Marketplace.

Water Street Parking Lot: The Water St Parking Lot has a Chargepoint Level II Charger.
Carriagetown Marketplace: The Carriagetown Marketplace parking lot has a Chargepoint DC Fast Charger.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The Nicholas Costello Transportation Center at 68 Elm St in Amesbury is a short distance from Heritage Park on Water St. The Center is served by MVRTA bus routes 51 from Haverhill, 54 from Salisbury/Newburyport and Route 57 from Newburyport. All MVRTA buses are equipped with front bicycle racks available on a first-come first-serve basis.
