To Members and Friends of the Coastal Trails Coalition (CTC):
After years of planning and design, construction has begun on the Clipper City Rail Trail in Newburyport! Please consider this your invitation to help the CTC raise money for trailside amenities such as benches, interpretive signage, dog waste disposal bag dispensers and trash receptacles.
Here's how you can help:
-- Donate! Bring items in good condition to Cushing Park at 5:00 PM every day from now until Wednesday, September 17, or call coordinator Mary Harbaugh to arrange for another time.
-- Volunteer! We need helpers to prepare, set up, and wrap up after. Call Mary!
-- Lend! We need tables and tents/canopy structures that can be set up on asphalt. Donate old lumber: 2 x 4 x 10s or 2 x 4 x 12s.
-- Shop! Saturday, September 20. We'll have a wide range of items: pristine "re-gifts," books and DVDs, tools, furniture, children's items, plus lots and lots more. We'll also have such silent auction items as a kayak, a bicycle, fishing rods, merchant/restaurant gift certificates, and other goodies.
Thanks for helping to enhance our communities in whichever ways work for you.
