[Update: See the photos]

Thanks to the dedicated work of the Salisbury Planning and Development Department, as well as CTC volunteers, Salisbury is once again holding the Art Stroll on the Old Eastern Marsh Trail (tomorrow) Saturday May 16th 2015 from 10-4pm.

Not only are there a ton of artists of all varieties who will be showcasing their work on this 1/2 mile linear gallery, but there is a full schedule of live music, free face painting and art lessons for kids plus delicious food vendors.  At 11 o’clock there will be a dedication of the new trailside sculpture by Salisbury artist Gordon Frost Sr. of Rusty Iron ArtHumphrey the whale

See the full announcement.  Check out detailed list of exhibitors, musicians and photos on the Salisbury Art Stroll Facebook page.

Tweet your pics to #SalisburyMA #ArtStroll  We’ll be posting some after the event as well.

This is a planet-friendly event, Wheelchair accessible, Restrooms available, Free parking at the trailhead on Friedenfels St. across from Bridge Marine and also at the new ENPRO headquarters at 114 Bridge Rd, Salisbury, MA (where Fraser Automotive used to be).

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Salisbury, Amesbury and West Newbury Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, as well as funding from the Coastal Trails Coalition and the Essex National Heritage Commission.

Spring Cleaning time

We’ll be meeting at Lion’s Park in Salisbury at 9am on Saturday 05/02/2015 to do Salisbury trail cleanup and maintenance for the Spring on the Eastern Marsh Trail and Ghost Trail. The event will be similar to our previous Spring (and Fall) clean-ups.

Volunteers will meet at Lion’s Park for coordination at 9am. Workers will return to Lion’s Park at 11:45 a.m. to finish by noon. Refreshments will include coffee, donut holes, fruit, water and snacks. Organizers will provide trash bags, but ask that volunteers bring gloves and rakes.

For questions or more info, please contact Lisa Pearson, Salisbury Director of Planning and Community Development, 978-463-2266, lpearson@salisburyma.gov or Jerry Klima, Coastal Trails, 978-465-5325, jerryklima@hotmail.com See the event page for directions or to quickly add our events to your calendar. You can also check us out on Facebook

We’ll be posting more info as we firm up dates and locations for Newburyport and Amesbury, but hope that we might be doing all the trails on the same day as Salisbury.

Fall cleanup and trail maintenance tomorrow

Don’t forget, we’ll be meeting at Lion’s Park in Salisbury at 9am on Saturday 11/22/2014 to do trail cleanup and maintenance for the fall on the Eastern Marsh Trail and Ghost Trail.

A lot of the leaf blowing has already been done, but we’d still love to see you there. There are always plenty of opportunities to make the trails more beautiful.

Volunteers will meet at Lion’s Park for coffee and coordination at 9am. Groups will go to the Rabbit Road and Bartlett Street entrances of the Ghost Trail and to the Friedenfels Street entrance of the Marsh Trail. Workers will return to Lion’s Park at 11:45 a.m. to finish by noon. Refreshments will include coffee, fruit, water and snacks. Organizers will provide trash bags, but ask that volunteers bring leaf blowers, gloves and rakes.
